A BIG SET OF DEER’S HORNS
By S. C. Turnbo

"Wid" Turley who was born and reared in Ozark County, Mo., told the writer the following. "One day," said he, "I killed a large buck near the Dick Martin Springs on Brattons Spring Creek that carried the biggest antlers I ever saw. There were 12 points on one beam and 14 on the other or a total of 26 points. One of its beams was flat and measured 8 Inches across. This buck’s hide after it was dried weighed 13 ¾ pounds and I sold it for 45 cents per pound or a total of $6.18 for the hide."
