Reuben Harper on the Grand Jury for the body of Greene County at the August term of the Court came in obedience to the summons awarded against him at the last term who was examined by the Court as to his default and upon good cause shown the said Reuben Harper is discharged.

Burnett for selling liquors without a license, a true bill against John Roberts for assault with intent to kill, a true bill against Samuel Teas and William Price for gaming, a true bill against John Sandlin and Sarah Sandlin for Adultory and Fornication, a true bill against Asa Brown otherwise called Asa Brant for murder, a true bill against Samuel Teas and E.W. Wallace for gaming and a true bill against Samuel Teas and Ephraim Fulbright for gaming and having no other business before them were by the Court discharged.

Owen Cawfield, Reubin Miller, Dreury Merit and Edward Tompson came into Court and Acknowledged themselves to be indebted to the State of Missouri in the just and full sum of fifty dollars each to be levied of their respective goods and chattles lands and tenements, to be void however if the said Owen Cawfield, Reubin Miller, Dreury Merit and Edward Tompson shall personally appear here on the first day of our next Circuit Court and then and there give evidence on behalf of the State of Missouri in a certain matter of controversey pending wherein our State is Plaintiff and Samuel Teas and William Price are Defendants and not depart therefrom without leave of the said Court.

(Gist of problem - Defendants claim Plaintiff was harboring Joseph Furgerson who was then and there guilty of murder, that fresh pursuit was then made by the sheriff. Defendants were summoned by said Sheriff to his aid. Defendants did pursue Plaintiff and did then apprehend him and detained him. Plaintiff said he was assaulted, battered and imprisoned. Change of venue to Pulaski County)
Charles P. Bullock, Clerk of Circuit Court for the County of Greene produced an account against said County for books, furniture and office rent amounting to forty eight dollars and fifty cents which was audited, adjusted and allowed.
