Find Any Nonprofit You Need with GuideStar at Midtown Carnegie Branch

Searching for a nonprofit serving a cause you care about? Or looking for an agency to help with a personal or family need?

GuideStar, a new resource available at the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library, serves both those needs.

GuideStar can be used to find nonprofit organizations that are doing work in a certain geographic or subject area. Patrons can use the resource to locate volunteer opportunities, partnerships, and assistance resources such as food banks. It’s a great resource for patrons looking for help, too.

GuideStar is provided by Candid, whose Funding Information Network hosts Foundation Directory Online to help nonprofits locate project grants. It is also available at the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library, and has information on over 100,000 foundations and over 2.5 million recently awarded grants.
