Holiday Hacks: These Books Make Great Gifts for Kids

Our librarians, always on the lookout for terrific books for kids, assembled a list of gift book ideas for the kids in your life as part of our ongoing Holiday Hacks: Library Edition. You can see the complete list here. It's also available on the Kids page, thelibrary.org/kids.

How about "A History of Underwear with Professor Chicken" by Hannah Holt. "For the budding historian, what could be more fun than learning about underwear? And with chickens?"

There's "Bathe the Cat" by Alice B. McGinty. Have YOU ever tried to bathe a cat? Now you know why someone wrote a book about it!

Or consider "The Legend of Gravity" by Charly Palmer. It's not about the gravity we all know. This tall tale of basketball is meant to be read aloud and shared.

Check out this list and you might find your kid's favorite book!
